The 10th hole, a relatively short and seemingly simple 348-yard, par-4, captures the true essence of links golf. Hidden hazards await all around, 7 deep sod faced bunkers are eagerly poised to pounce on less than perfectly placed shots to the fairway or green, thick gnarled mounds of knee high fescue stand ready to swallow their little white round foe and an innocent gently flowing meandering burn on the left. Mix in the often boisterous winds of Lake Huron and it will be hard to remember you are still in Michigan.
